The contract, though, stipulated that no other theme parks could use Marvel characters currently in use at Universal Parks east of the Mississippi River. WAY before Disney ever bought Marvel, the comic book group made an agreement with the owners of the Universal Studios theme parks for the use of Marvel characters there. We’ll admit that we have been super-excited about the Avengers Campus at Disneyland ever since it opened, and are getting pumped about the one being added to Disneyland Paris.
